This week on Friday Round Up the 6th edition of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale opens on Saturday with an impressive program of exhibitions, workshops, portfolio reviews and events. Last week featured the international exhibitions, this week it's the turn of the Australians with a selection from the Core and Fringe programs. Plus for those in Melbourne, make time to see Luna, at Forty-Five Downstairs.

The Australians - A Selection of Core and Fringe exhibitions

This selection is an eclectic mix of works from an equally diverse group of artists and provides an insight into the flavour of the Festival which is on until 20 September. Make the trip to Ballarat, only 90 minutes from Melbourne. Many of the venues are within walking distance and two of the main exhibition sites, the Art Gallery of Ballarat and the Mining Exchange are next to one another.
